5th Graders Kick Off NSTAR Fundraiser
To help defray the cost of the fall environmental trip to Freedom, N.H., the 5th graders, with the help of N-Star, will be selling energy efficient light bulbs with 100% of the proceeds going to their trip. We will be taking orders for GE and Panasonic light bulbs as shown on the order forms. They are reasonably priced at $3.00 for the GE light bulbs and $4.00 for the Panasonic light bulbs.
The light bulbs are a great buy for several reasons
¨ They use 75% less energy than regular light bulbs but provide the same amount of light.
¨ For every 10 light bulbs you buy, you receive an annual savings of approx. $150-200 on your electric bill.
¨ Though they cost a bit more than regular light bulbs, they last 10 times as long.
¨ They are good for the environment as they require far less energy.
¨ 100% of the proceeds go to sending the 5th graders on their Environmental trip.
The cost of the environmental trip is based on the projected light bulb sales. In order to prevent an additional camp fee, we ask that each fifth grader and their family support our sale by selling as many light bulbs as possible to friends, relatives, and co-workers. Door-to-door selling by students is not permitted.
The sale begins immediately and continues until Monday, March 24th, when all orders and money must be turned in to your child’s homeroom teacher.
The money must be collected at the time of the order. For your convenience, checks may be made payable to: Medway Secondary Home and School Association (MSHSA). People may make a donation to the trip if they do not wish to purchase a light bulb.
Please turn in your order form and the money by March 24. Please keep the pink copy for your records. Your order will be ready the week of April 11. Orders will be sent home with your child or we will notify you of the available day for pick-up of large orders at the school.
Thank you for your support and participation. If you have any questions or need additional information, please call.
Sincerely,
