Week # 3

We had a successful day at Nashoba on Friday!  The temperatures were perfect for skiing, all trails were open and covered with snow and most importantly, we were injury free!

Thank you to all the chaperones who give up their time each week to help out. These trips would not go smoothly without each one of them.  Thank you!

A big thank you to Chad Bennett for donating blue lights for each chaperone to wear. The kids said they were able to distinguish the Medway chaperones from others and they were always able to find us when needed.  We even had other schools asking about our lights!

Lost & Found:
A pair of of green Orion goggles was lost.  Please check your child's bag to see if they may were put there by mistake.
On bus 5 - a pair of white knit gloves was found.
On bus bus 3 (I think) - an Oakland Raiders knit cap and an UnderArmour black and gray nap sack were found.

If any of those items are yours, please let me know.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.  Go Patriots!

Week # 2

Nashoba

Hi all,
We had another successful week of skiing.  The kids were great!! They have done a great job following the rules on the bus and behaving appropriately at the mountain. The weather was colder and the conditions were icy, but everyone still seemed to have fun. Thank you to Laura Whalen for taking the lead on this trip and tending to all of the details!!  Thank you also to all our wonderful chaperones for helping out and keeping everyone safe.   Thanks to all parents for picking up your children on time so the chaperones didn't need to wait around.  Administration asks that parents please follow our drop off procedure in the morning and do not bring kids
with equipment through the drop off line.  It causes a back up onto Holliston Street and causes kids to be late for school.  Thank you for your help with this.

We can look forward to another good week next Friday - with some fresh snow!  Enjoy your weekend.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Week # 1

Nashoba
Not a bad start to the ski program! We couldn't have asked for better weather, although a little more natural snow would have been nice. It was amazing how good the conditions were based on how little snow we have received this winter!
I hope all of your kids had a good time. I know there was a little confusion with getting equipment from the auditorium and getting some equipment from the rentals, but all of your kids handled it great. The first week is always the craziest as everyone is trying to figure out the best way to handle situations; from loading equipment on the buses, getting all the kids through rentals and then to lessons and re-boarding the buses at the appropriate times. We did have one minor injury that resulted in me having to leave the mountain prior to the buses, but the other chaperones did a great job loading the buses and getting everyone home in a timely manner.
Reminder - there is NO SKI CLUB next week due to the professional day prior to MLK weekend. We will have our next ski trip day on Friday, January, 20th.
Please remember to drop off skis/bags between 6:30-7:00 or 7:30-8:00. This new system seemed to go much smoother and the line to get into school wasn't as long as last year. The other option is to meet your child after school at 2:00 to give them their equipment.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Hi all, We are off to a wonderful start! The kids were great. The bus drivers gave our children and chaperones rave reviews. We had no problems on the mountain, except for a lost/stolen pair of skis. The skiing was met with mixed reviews - the snow wasn't the best and it was packed, but everyone had smiles when we left. Thank you also to all parents for picking up your kids in a timely manner - we all were happy to be home after a long day! Remember, we will not be skiing next Friday because there is no school. We will ski again on the 20th. Please remember to drop off skis/bags between 6:30-7:00 or 7:30-8:00. This new system seemed to go much smoother and the line to get into school wasn't as long as last year. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Enjoy your weekend. Jeanne
